Copenhagen Business School Press (Denmark), Liber AB (Sweden) and Universitetsforlaget have decided to cooperate on strengthening the commitment to publish, promote and distribute English-language titles for the Scandinavian and international markets. We are witnessing a development where Scandinavian researchers to an increasing extent both wish and have a need to publish their work internationally. In addition, increased student mobility across the borders has led educational institutions to prefer more textbooks in English.
We are three independent publishers who realize the advantage and potential of collaboration in order to meet the needs created by internationalization with regard to the publication of academic books. We believe that by combining our individual resources of editorial competence, academic networks, as well as distribution and marketing organization, we will be better equipped to help our authors achieve the deserved international attention, and to publish high-quality textbooks for students.
We would like to provide a service to authors who see the advantages of three individual publishers who can successfully combine their local knowledge of the Scandinavian educational and research institutions with an experience in international publishing as well as world wide distribution and marketing.
The nature and extent of the cooperation between the three publishers – with regard to publishing, distribution and marketing – is decided on a title-to-title basis depending on individual needs and opportunities, allowing a flexibility valuable to both authors and publishers.
We publish books for undergraduates, postgraduates and academics as well as professionals in fields such as: international business, organizational theory & management, marketing & communication, finance, economics and strategy.
It is our hope that authors will find this innovative Scandinavian project interesting and attractive. We invite potential authors to approach the contact persons of the individual presses to discuss book proposals.
