Marius Buning is Professor of European History at the University of Oslo. He works on the history of intellectual property and knowledge governance, focusing on state power and ideas of progress. He is the author of Knowledge, Patents, Power (Brill, 2021) and co-editor of Ownership of Knowledge (MIT Press, 2023).
