Ove Skarpenes is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Agder. He holds a PhD in sociology from the University of Bergen (2005). His research interests and publications encompass the fields of the sociology of education and knowledge, class- and cultural sociology, the sociology of exclusion, and sociological theory. He teaches courses such as the sociology of education, sociological theory and sociological analysis.
